Transportation Scan Cards

Students are required to have a bus scan card, and use that scan card to board and disembark the school bus on routes. Use of this card allows the district and parents/guardians to monitor and verify where students board and get off the bus.

  • If a student loses or damages their scan card for the first time , a replacement card will be issued to the student at no cost.
  • If a student loses or damages their scan card a second time or thereafter, a replacement card will be issued to the student for a cost of $5.
  • The student will receive AM route services, but the student WILL NOT be allowed to ride the bus for PM routes until the card is replaced. Here is the process for replacing the card.
    • Parent or student completes a form to request a new card, and gives the form to the driver who turns it into the Transportation Coordinator.
    • Student/parent pays (cash or check) campus secretary for card, secretary gives receipt to person presenting payment, confirms with transportation that payment has been received through email or phone call to the transportation office.
    • Campus secretary prepares deposit for cards and deposits to the same account being used for these supplies.
    • Transportation creates a new card, a new card is issued to the student, and the bus driver will deliver it to the student.

ParentView App

We're happy to announce that Paradise ISD will be launching an innovative transportation solution for our school buses, Busview, which provides GPS tracking for buses and student monitoring via RFID cards.

BusView monitors bus location, speed, turns, and other key bus metrics, as well as where/when students board and exit buses in real-time.  This enables us to closely monitor buses to know where they are along routes and to respond to all transportation issues proactively.  It also provides peace of mind for parents, as there is no more worrying if your kids made it on the correct bus or got off at the right stop.

There is also an app for parents, which enables you to see when your child boards and exits buses with time and location stamps.  To install the ParentView app, visit either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and Search for "NFT Parent View" and install the app on your phone.
