Text Box: 	Paradise Intermediate students competed very well at the district UIL competitions in December.  All three grade levels were the first place  grade level winners.  The 4th and 5th graders participated with Paradise Elementary students at the District Elementary UIL Meet on Friday, December 7, 2007 in Brock.  The 6th graders competed with Paradise Junior High at the District Junior High UIL Meet on Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Peaster.  Participants and results are as follows.

4th Grade
Art:  Morgan Heinsen, Colton Meadows, Madison Moore, Carlos Powers(4th), and Caleb Sims.
Music Memory:  Hunter Anthony(2nd), Mackinzee Thomas(3rd), Anthony Walton, Colton Meadows(4th), Carols Powers(1st), Brayden Ford, and Caleb Sims; 1st place team.
Number Sense:  Logan McPherson, Carlos Powers(3rd), Joseph Eisen, and Josh Pitman.
Oral Reading:  Logan McPherson, Meagan Kennedy, Stormi Lamb, and Josh Pitman.
Ready Writing:  Carlos Powers, Peyton Fishbeck(1st), Meagan Kennedy, and Josh Pitman.
Spelling:  Zachary Loney(4th), Jessica Presley(5th), Tanner Edwards, and Peyton Fishbeck; 2nd place team.
5th Grade
Art:  Drew Carter, Nicholas Loney, Bailey Gray, Taylor Rose, Allison Rutledge, and Brandy McDaniel.
Dictionary Skills:  Shelby Bradshaw, Autumn Prince, Chelsea Cryer(3rd), and Courtney Kerr; 2nd place team.
Listening:  Julianna Smith, Jett Preather, Samantha Low, and Shelby Hamilton.
Music Memory:  JD Pearson(1st), Jessica Meeks, Morgan Harvey, Brandon McCutchen(6th), and Jada Reynolds(2nd); 1st place team.

Fund Raiser

We raised $9,909.95 through our cookie dough fund raiser.  Thanks to all our students and parents for their participation.  So far money has been used to purchase landscaping timbers to add to flower beds on the playground and more benches for the area outside of the cafeteria.
