Eagle Scout Project Benefits PJH

PJH Entrance project is completed

Paradise Junior High recently received an Eagle Scout Project that was done by Parker Burross, a PHS Freshman. Parker's work was done over a period of several weeks and the end result was this attractive decoration for the front of the building.

Parents: The Texas Department of Agriculture is again offering no cost meals this summer for children 18 and younger through its Summer Meals For Kids program. Details are here.

End-of-Year Awards May 22

Paradise Junior High will hold their End-of-year Awards ceremony on Tuesday, May 22 in the main gym at the high school. The event will begin at 6:00 pm.

Texas History Class Creates Projects

Ag Students Work on Horticulture Project

In March, students from the Junior High ag classes worked on a horticulture project. We are grateful to the Aberl family and to the Modern Woodsmen for the generous donation of our plants for the junior high campus. Photo gallery.

More Junior High Students Qualify for State

On February 24, the Junior High Math and Science Team traveled to Kirby Academy in Wichita Falls for a qualifier competition. Seven more students qualified for the State meet. Details are on our math and science page.

Sixth Grade Presents "Santa's Cookie Problem"

Junior High Students Enjoy Woodworking

Students in Mrs. Meadows's ag classes spent some time building bird houses as part of a woodworking unit of their class.

Horticulture Class Has Fun with Project

In December, students in Mrs. Meadows's Horticulture class had fun learning with a Dirt Babies project.

Book Fair Character Contest Winners Named

On December 5, Paradise Junior High awarded students for their involvement in the book character contest. Mikey Meddaugh won a Sonic Gift Card for dressing up as Watch the Dog from The Boxcar Children.

Also winning were Marenda Pollard, Georgia Black, and Aubree Godwin for dressing as Kara Danvers (Supergirl). They dressed as Kara at various ages while growing up.

PISD Makes Contribution to Live Thankfully

In December, the students, parents, and staff at Paradise ISD helped with the county-wide "Live Thankfully" campaign. All four campuses donated 5200 food items. We will be helping 32 families in Paradise through Live Thankfully. Photo gallery.

Paradise Does Well at UIL Academic Meet

JACKSBORO-On December 1, students from Paradise Junior High competed in the District UIL Academic Meet, and our students won quite a few events and placed highly in many others. Results for grades 6-8 are here.

PJH Assists with Recovery Efforts

In September, Paradise Junior High worked with Bridgeport High School and others in gathering supplies that were sent to those affected by Hurricane Harvey. These students went to Bridgeport to help deliver the goods and unload the bus.

Students Learn Lessons, Beautify School

On August 25, students in Mrs. Meadows' ag classes did a good job of cleaning out the flower beds in front of the junior high and making them ready for future planting.
