As our PHS Band ends an award-winning school year full of accolades and achievements, the Band Boosters begin planning our strategies for supporting the Band during the 2012 - 2013 school year.
Please take this time to consider volunteering to become an Officer in the Band Booster organization. Your expertise and leadership are needed in the following offices:
In addition, several support Committees are being formed to handled specific needs, such as Uniforms, Development/Fund-Raising, Hospitality, and Equipment. Chairpersons and committee members are needed in these specific areas.
Please choose to lead the support team behind our successful and growing Panther Band by volunteering to serve as an Officer or Chairperson.
We will be providing refreshments at Thursday night's Spring Concert.
Please bring or send your baked goods and/or sandwiches (packaged to sell for $1/each) to the concert.
Thank you for your help with this final fundraiser of the school year.
Thank you, Band Boosters, for your help in making our 4th annual Band Banquet a success! I hope you were able to attend the event last Friday night, and that you and your Band student enjoyed the evening.
Please take a moment to send your thoughts, suggestions and feedback regarding this year's banquet, so that we can continue to improve this annual event.
If your Band student will be attending the Band Banquet this Friday, April 27th, please, make sure he/she has turned in the RSVP to Mr. Altz.
If you or other guests will be attending with your student, please send the RSVP and payment to Mr. Altz tomorrow (April 26).
As another school year comes to a close, we are excited to be finishing up an extremely successful BAND year, and looking ahead to the next exciting season. Yes, a Band Booster's job is never done! We are so very proud of our sweepstakes-award-winning Panther Band, and proud that we have been able to support them in their efforts.
As our Band has grown and blossomed, the need for support by their Band Boosters has also increased. To that end, this letter is a request to all Band parents/supporters/boosters to recommit your participation in Band Boosters, and consider becoming an officer in next year's organization. Along with increased need for fund-raising and promotion for the Band, comes the need for increased leadership and fresh ideas for the organization. Your energy and input are needed to help Band Boosters become a stronger support system for a bigger, stronger Panther Band.
Please consider becoming an officer in next year's Paradise Band Boosters organization. You may email your nomination to me, and your name will be placed on the ballot for officer elections. The election will be conducted at our final meeting on May 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Band Hall.
Thank you, again, for all your help and support.
6:30 p.m. at the Band Hall
We will be finalizing plans for
the Band Banquet.

After much effort and support by everyone involved, our Donkey Basketball event last Friday night successfully benefitted our Band Student Scholarship Fund, and everyone who attended had a fun, enjoyable evening. The barbeque was delicious, the gift basket and 50/50 raffles were popular, and the donkeys and riders were entertaining, as always.
Whatever form of help you provided for this major fundraiser, thank you, thank you, thank you! We couldn't have done it without you.
We are still needing the following items for the concession stand at the Donkey Basketball event:
Please drop off your contribution at the Band Hall today and Friday.
Thank you for your help in making our fundraiser a success.
If you are interested in watching our Band perform/compete in the UIL Concert/Sight Reading today, their performance time will be 2:30 p.m. at Decatur High School.
Your support and attendance is appreciated.
We are still in need of some more donations for raffle prizes. Here is a list of what we have...
We also have some baskets that are incomplete...
We also need someone to wrap the baskets and make them presentable and provide the cellophane wrap to go around the baskets.
If you have any connections to local businesses, please see if you can get something for the raffle. We would love to have one or two larger items, kids type basket, summer/beach basket or anything else we can get.
Please start encouraging your friends and family to join us this Friday at 5:30 for the BBQ dinner and the game at 7:00!
