New Student Registration

New students entering PISD for the 2017-2018 school year will register by completing the appropriate set of forms (below) and setting up an appointment by calling (940) 969-5044. Only those new to the district are required to complete the registration process listed below:

STEP 1

Complete the registration packet listed below:

  • Pick-up/Transportation Information
  • Home Language Survey
  • Ethnicity Questionnaire
  • Residency Questionnaire
  • Residency Questionnaire-Followup
  • Occupational Survey English | Spanish
  • Technology Use Forms
  • Health Survey
  • Telephone Consumer Protection Act Form
  • STEP 2

    Take the completed registration packet and the required documents listed below to your child's school. The following items are needed in order to complete the registration process:

  • Student's birth certificate (Order a certified birth certificate at Texas.gov)
  • Student's Social Security card
  • Current immunization records (see below)
  • Proof of residency with a matching valid Texas driver's license or identification card (see below)
  • Note: If a student lives with someone other than a parent, additional notarized paperwork is required each school year.

    Residency Verification Required for New Students

    As a public school system, PISD schools welcome all students who live within the boundaries of the Paradise Independent School District and meet state age and health requirements. New students will need to verify their residency prior to the start of school.

    This can be done easily by submitting a copy of one of the following acceptable documents listed below PLUS a copy of a driver's license with matching address information.

    Students may not be enrolled in the district if they do not provide proof of residence in Paradise ISD.

    Proof of Residency Requirements

    Preferred Method:

  • Parent or guardian’s drivers license or government issued identification
  • Proof of residency – current (last 30 days) original utility bill in parent or guardian’s name (gas, water, or electric)
  • Address on driver’s license and utility bill must match
  • If you do not have a current utility bill, other acceptable documents include:

  • Mortgage/rent receipts for current or previous month
  • Lease agreement dated within the last 30 days*
  • Deed of sale dated within the last 30 days*
  • *If your lease agreement or deed of sale is not dated within the last 30 days, please bring a current utility bill with a matching address with your driver’s license. For special circumstances, please contact the registrar at 940-969-5044.

    Students may not be enrolled in the district if they do not provide proof of residence in Paradise ISD. Failure to provide adequate information may result in removal of students and may subject parents/guardians to payments of costs of educational services.

    ***To enroll in kindergarten, your child must be five years old by September 1 of the current school year.
