Hello parents!
We are fast approaching the big day! I wanted to write to you all and let you know what was going on. Because everyone is so busy, I am not planning another meeting. We will just get together the evenings of the week of the 25th so we can get everything set up. The garage sale was a lot of work, but it paid off! The ending profit was $500.00. Thank you to all the parents who helped collect items, move items, set up, price, and sell! Susan Cope is one wheeler Dealer now! A big thanks to Francis and Rodney Bruton for organizing this fundraiser and for donating the unsold items to the Veteran’s garage sale the next weekend. Your help is much appreciated! The Powder Puff game went well. We only profited around $150.00 after concession and shirt costs, but that is just that much more we did not have. The kids had a good time and created some memories. Thank you to Marianne Pike for organizing that fundraiser and to all the parents who helped with the event. Connie Owensby has graciously made a beautiful quilt for us to raffle off. We will be selling chances on this at the High School and at the Athletic Banquet on the 18th of this month. If you are able to sit with the quilt at the school on week days please contact Sandy Erwin at 940-969-2911 or 940-399-6069 or 940-683-2273. Thank you! Chances are $5.00 each. The Golf Tournament is on the 19th of this month. There are 11 morning teams and 7 afternoon teams signed up as of now. We still need 4 afternoon teams. The cost is $250.00 for a four man team. This includes a golf cart and a fajita buffet lunch. I went and tried the fajitas and they were wonderful! Brian Webber has generously donated 3 golf clubs for prizes for events such as the longest drive, the closest to the hole, etc. We will need parents to work the tournament. These are the areas we will need help with: · Registration—taking money and signing in teams · Mulligan sales table · Longest Drive, closest to the hole etc. chances table · Putting out sponsorship signs at 7:30 am · Prize table monitors and drawings · Clean-up We have sent the brick orders in and are waiting to get the proof sheets back. These will be ordered and delivered with in the next few weeks. We have purchased several gifts for the graduates. We have also worked closely with Wal-Mart and have ordered the $50.00 and $100.00 gifts through them. We have 70-72 kids coming! Here are the items purchased so far: · TV/DVD combo · DVD Players with remotes · Digital cameras · Camcorders · Portable DVD Players · IPOD Shuffles · Battery chargers · Laundry baskets · Colored Metal Flip top Trash cans · I-pod chairs and towels · Colored mini fridges and luggage sets Donations include things like: · Gift cards, ranger tickets, Rave tickets, Pro-cuts, Sonic, Patterson Auto, Tanning, T-shirts, etc! Food is being done by Wal-Mart deli and bakery, as well as Subway. We will need to pick up at noon on Friday and take to the school and put in the fridge in the kitchen. I will ask Francis get a key and help with this. We need more drinks. I hope this sounds good to everyone. I am looking forward to surprising our kids! Let me know if I am forgetting anything! Talk to you all soon! Sincerely, Sandy
