KFC Colonel's Scholarship – Up to $20,000 for students with financial need and an entrepreneurial spirit. Application at www.kfcscholars.org. Deadline February 8, 2012.
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Ag Mechanics Technical Scholarship – Five 2-year $8,000 scholarships. Applicants must have participated in the Agricultural Mechanics Project Show or the Tractor Technician Competition to be eligible. Requires on-line application plus supplemental documentation packet. The Texas Lyceum Scholarship – Four $2,500 scholarships. No restrictions on field of study. Must attend a Texas College. Application at www.texaslyceum.org/scholarships.aspx. Deadline February 15, 2012.
Best Buy Scholarships – 1,200 scholarships of $1,000 each for students in grades 9-12. Applicants need good grades plus community service or work experience. Apply online. Deadline February 15, 2012.
GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program - $10,000 renewable scholarships (up to $40,000 per recipient) for 20 college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Apply online. Deadline February 17, 2012.
Wise County Youth Fair Scholarship – Up to twelve $1,000 sholarships, one to each school in Wise County. Scholarships are competitive, based on academics, each year of participation in the Wise County Youth Fair, essay, and other factors. Application available in Counselor’s office. Deadline Feb. 24, 2012.
Buick Achievers Scholarship Program – Up to $100,000 in scholarships in various amounts. For students planning to major in engineering, technology, design, or business, with an interest in the automotive industry. Application online. Deadline Feb. 29, 2012.
Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship – $1,000 Application available in Counselor’s office. Deadline March 1, 2012.
Texas Big Game Awards Wildlife Conservation Scholarship – Over $15,000 will be awarded. Applicants must be agriculture and/or natural resource-related majors. Application at www.TexasBigGameAwards.org - or pick up a copy in Counselor's office. Deadline March 1, 2012.
Dick Mitchell Memorial Scholarship – One $1,000 scholarship. Applicant must be a member of a Farm Bureau family. Apply at www.txfb.org or pick up application in Counselor’s office. Deadline March 19, 2012.
Texas Farm Bureau District Scholarship Program – Each TFB District will award four $1,000 scholarships. Applicant must be a member of a Farm Bureau fammily. Apply at www.txfb.org or pick up application in Counselor’s office. Deadline March 19, 2012.
North Texas Community Hospital of Bridgeport – Five $1,000 scholarships for students planning on a career in the medical field. Application in Counselor's office. Deadline April 2,2012.
Wise Electric Cooperative Scholarship – Eight $1,000 scholarships for students whose parents or guardians are members of the cooperative. Application available in the counselor's office. Deadline April 6, 2012.
Petroleum Engineering Scholarships – Up to three $12,000 scholarships ($1,500 per semester). Applicant must intend to enroll in a petroleum engineering-related major. Application in Counselor's office. Deadline April 15, 2012.
Jim Frank Hornback Scholarship – One $2,000 scholarship for a senior Ag student who plans to major in Agriculture at a Texas University. Application in Counselor's office. Deadline April 20, 2012.
J.D. Reeves Memorial Scholarship - $1,000. Awarded to one graduating senior at Paradise High School. Application available in Counselor’s office. Deadine May 1, 2012.

Fort Worth Beauty School, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas - $1,000 off tuition for any new student. Additional financial aid available to qualified students. Information available in Counselor's offfice.
FreSch!-The Free Scholarship Search and Information Service
Hazlewood Act (Texas Veterans Commission) - The Hazlewood Act provides qualified Veterans, spouses, and children with an education benefit of up to 150 hours of tuition and fee exemptions at state supported colleges or universities.
Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps - A 4-year scholarship worth up to $180,000 plus a monthly stipend of $250. There is no obligation on the part of the student for applying for this scholarship. Applications and additional information are available at www.nrotc.navy.mil.
Prairie Area Health Education Center - Five $1,500 scholarships for students potentially interested in entering a health-care profession. Applicants may be sophomores, juniors or seniors. Contact Claudia Reyes at 817-598-8887 (Weatherford College).

Weatherford College Online Scholarship Form - Weatherford College has an online form for students to use to apply for scholarships. Click here to enter their site.
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund - www.hsf.net has links to several scholarships for graduating high school seniors. Once you begin filling out the online application, the site automatically tells you which scholarship programs you qualify for. A list of HSF scholarships is also available in the scholarship drawer in the Counselor's Office. Each scholarship has a different deadline, but the first deadline is December 15, and applications should be submitted as soon as possible.
Don't forget that universities and colleges offer many on-site scholarships for their students. Access specific university web-sites to find out what they have to offer.
