Home Page My Hobbies About Me My Working Career |
My sister's fiance is part of a family business of an Auto Salvage shop in Kennedale. He is the one who fixed up my first car for me, which was a 95' Mustang. Since we took out a loan for the car, my car payments were only $97.00 a month. However, my insurance was $242.44 a month because it was a Mustang. I made both payments every month and it was very worth it to me at first. | ![]() |
The Mustang was a nice car for about 6 months until it started breaking down almost every week. I don't how many times my sister's fiance, Jake, towed it back to Kennedale to work on it. Eventually, every part in that car was brand new, even the motor! I was just ready to get a new car that didn't have so many problems. That summer, I worked as much as they would let me and made as many car payments as I could to try to pay off my Mustang. I was determined to pay it off and get a new car. One week I made 8 payments! My mom kept trying to tell me to keep the Mustang and just not have to worry about a monthly car payment, but my mind was made up. |

Once I had my Mustang paid down to about 1500, my dad and I went to look at a car I had wanted since they first came out, a Volkswagen Beetle. We were going to trade the Mustang in, but we got more from selling it out. After being at the dealership almost 5 hours, I drove my 2000 silver Bug home! The monthly payment was almost triple the Mustang's, but I knew I could do it. The insurance is about $40.00 cheaper. So far, I have been able to make both payments every month, which is about $520.00 a month. Sometimes i don't have very much spare time because I am always working, but its worth it to me. | ||
